The current model is eight years old, but the Jeep Compass continues to perform well in the market.
With 84,474 vehicles delivered in the United States by September of this year, demand has increased by 18% compared to the first nine months of 2023.
The next generation Compass is coming, but we will have to wait for it. The first teaser announces the world premiere of the new generation of the popular crossover in Europe next September.
The design sketch comes with news that the Compass will receive a fully electric variant, set on the STLA Medium mechanical platform.
Jeep calls the new Compass the „most globally accessible model of the company“, meaning that they want to make sure that the car will be to everyone’s taste when it comes to the type of drive, reports b.92.
The new Compass will first arrive in production lines at Stellantis’ factory in Melfi, Italy next year, before production expands to North America and other regions in 2026.
The next generation will be positioned above the completely new Renegade model and below the future Recon model. Both of these vehicles are expected to arrive by 2027, according to the product plan announced in June.
In the meantime, the teaser suggests an evolutionary design style. It seems that the new Compass is slightly larger than the outgoing model judging by the distance between the C and D pillars.
Several Stellantis models are already on the STLA Medium platform, such as the Peugeot 3008, Opel Grandland, and the upcoming next generation Citroen C5 Aircross.
