Slovenian basketball player Mike Tobey, just a few hours after parting ways with Crvena Zvezda, has found a new engagement.
According to Spanish media reports, the American center who holds Slovenian citizenship will continue his career with Gran Canaria. The club from Belgrade parted ways with the 29-year-old Tobey today, after he failed to meet expectations in the past season.
However, the Slovenian did not wait long for a new job, as Gran Canaria showed interest in him.
He will thus return to Spain, where he has spent almost his entire European career playing for teams like Tenerife, Valencia, and Barcelona.
This season in the Euroleague, the Slovenian averaged only 3.7 points and 2.3 rebounds. In the ABA League, he helped the red and whites win the championship title with an average of 8.8 points and 5.1 rebounds.
Just a few days before the start of the European Championship and the match with „The Eagles“ in Gelsenkirchen, it was announced that the English national football team has received reinforcements from Manchester United.
